Try using "011" as the prefix instead of "+". For example, to text to the UK enter: 01144<PHONE NUMBER> instead of +44<PHONE NUMBER> This seems to work for me ... some people have complained that it's slow though and AT&T is working on it. Check out the attws forum for AT&T's response: http://forums.attwireless.com/attws/...message.id=422 |

Text messaging isnt available currently internationally...some phones show the messages were sent but they never get there others cannot even send them....AT&T is going thru there GSM growing pains right now, be patient itll get there...jst a quest of how patient you are......I have issues as well

AT&T is still in the process of getting International SMSing out. It will cost 25cents a message to send to an international phone whereas as you may already know it costs 10 cents to send to any phone within the US (sans messaging plan of course). I am in contact with a rep who will let me know as soon as it is in effect!

Sounds to me like AT&T are ripping you all off. Still don't have international SMS... and when it comes in they are going to charge you more money! Over here in Aussie we get charged the same for SMS to anywhere |

Yes AT&T likes to charge for "extras"... Actually I could send a sms internationally using '011' instead of '+country code' it got there in a "few" hours and i never ever got the reply they sent back. oh well i guess. anways it's pretty sad in my opinion... |

This is news to me. Glad I am not with AT&T. T-Mobile all the way. T-Mobile gives you packaged plans with SMS included while AT&T charges you 10c locally and 25c internationally? Its like saying Earthlink charges you for each e-mail sent and on top of that, international e-mail will cost even more?
