CREATING and setting ringtones for the sanyo katana pcm-8500 dlx.

Hello forum.
I have a Katana DLX phone purchased last month and would like to create my own ring tones and use them on the phone. I have looked everywhere and tried my self to convert files both to 3gp and 3g2, then placing them on the sd card and the phone internal memory with out any success.
I used Audacity to convert the file to a small mp3 then Super without any luck.
I have reached the end of my knowledge base and was thinking someone else could take the torch and run with it.
If anyone has any success your shared information would be appreciated.

if you put the .3g2 file into the DCIM/100SANYO directory on the microsd card, the media will show up, but you get the following message when you try to set up a ringtone using the file:

WARNING!

This file cannot be set!

i'll experiment a little more to see if it is a size or file name extension issue
