Why does the little MSG box stay lit up in the bottom right hand corner of my 4900 even though I've cleared every message type I can find to clear?

The two buttons just below the screen are soft keys. When they are programmed for a function, it displays in the lower left or lower right corner to show what the soft key will do. It's a shortcut button to jump to messaging. As of this writing, you cannot reprogram either softkey default.

That's annoying. It makes it look like there's a new message waiting.
