Default Upgrading my much loved T809.. is there a newer version?

So ive had my SGH-T809 for 2 years and I freaking love it. The size, features, pictures, functionality are all really up my alley. But I went skiing and crashed into a stream (oops) with it in my breast pocket and now the all important center silver button just doesnt work. So im thinking about getting an 'updated' version of this phone. Ive been sifting thru the years of reviews since this came out in 06 and I cant really make heads or tales as to what phone has everything the t809 has.. same size, slider, but also with camera flash etc, maybe 2Mpix, wifi? Samsungs numbering and product line system seem utterly random. Some of the new phones seem to have alot of the above but with random crippling or missing features.

Any thoughts? Is there just some T809 part 2 that im just missing?

the samsung Katalyst with Tmobile is same family as t809 and has wifi, also the T819 is nice too, those are the closest with tmobile right now my condolences that was a great phone that went in the drink.

Here's a comparison of the T809, the Katalyst, and the T819 from Phonescoop.

Samsung T809/Katalyst/T819 comparison.

Thanks for the info.. so.. .. Wow. The T809 is pushing 3 years old and its still better than the newer offerings in terms of memory and display.. thats just sad. Maybe ill just get another one. But can this really be true?! Anyone know of a suped up comparable slider?
