I just got the Black U740

I've been playing with it for a few hours, set up my preferences, uploaded some pics, got a new ringtone...then I played with the camera. There's a red line across the screen and picture. It doesn't matter which way you turn the screen, The line is in the same place. On most Verizon phones, when your talking, the outside screen should show the Verizon logo. The screen is black.

Is anyone else having these problems? I'd like to know before I call for a replacement.

I just wasted time customizing this damn thing. Otherwise, I was very happy with it.

If the red line sits just along the top portion of the screen, it is like that on most of Verizon's phones. LG hands sets give you the ability to change that red line to another color as well as offering some flash theme options. But if you are saying that there is a red line going through the middle of the screen then take it back to the store to the place where you purchased it from and have it swapped out with a new one. As for the outside screen going black, it should initially show Verizon but after a few seconds go blank.

I would try to change the theme. Perhaps its just a bug in that particular theme.
