New release date?

There is a guy in howard forums who said he used samsung a530 today in his store and the release date is not far behind. His screen name is hakiki and he is from chicago. Can anyone confirm his story?

Hue i want the phone just as bad as you do but chances are the 530 aint coming out till May. When I say May im really just hoping May cause everyone i talk to tells me that verizon will be releaseing new phones in that month so hopefully the 530 will be one of them. I still come to these forums to find info about the phone but no one posts about it anymore cause theres no info on it what so ever. If you want we can countodown till May in this topic :-) lol.

Is there any proof that phone will come out in may? I know its silly that against all hope I expect the phone to be released in march but if it doesn't someone will say april and then may and then june and so on and so forth. Its questionable that phones better than a530 is already circulating in these forums yet samsung is still not released. I can only take a two guesses as to why. One, there is only one guy with one phone traveling across the country testing the phone. Or two, there is so many problem with the phone that its taking so long to release it. I think its most likely the second. Though some people might see it as negative but I see that it only means the phone will be that much problem free when it comes out. So unless I hear that phone isn't coming out at all, I will continue to wait. I believe it will be one hell of a phone. If not someone is going to be sued, I promise. Anyone has any info about the phone please don't be afraid to post them. I will be sure to read it.

huedaephone1, as a side note, you might want to reconsider the make of the phone you have listed in your profile. You have "Samsung VX10" but Samsung doesn't manufacture the VX10. LG Infocomm does. Although they are both S.Korean companies, they are totally different entities.

My question is, what is the big friggin deal about this phone? I have heard SO MUCH talk about it, yet I cant seem to differentiate it from any of the other advanced phones out there today. So man people are talking about it....

Part of what makes this phone stay in the discussion here, is the fact that so little is really known about it...the mystery alone is fodder for discussion...apart from the rumor mill, what makes this phone appealing to some here is that Verizon offers really boring phones, and this looked to be pretty cool: dual 65,000 color displays and the fact that its really really small apparently.
