Why doesn't AT&T support Samsung phones? Plus, a friend told me. You can take a t-mobile phone and get AT&T GSM service on it. Does anyone know about this or is it not true? Thanks! |

AT&T should start carrying samsung phones hopefully starting in June. They plan to release the v206 which is the equivalent of the T-Mobile v205 (camera phone). Your friend is correct, you can use other GSM phones on the AT&T network as long the phone supports the correct AT&T GSM Band and the phone is not locked to a specific carrier. This is the beauty of GSM phones. If you read through several threads on this Samsung board, you'll notice that there are quite a few AT&T users who own Samsung SGH-S105 handsets which are normally exclusive to T-Mobile. |
