SAMSUNG SGH T100 OR THE SGH T108?

does any one anything about these two phones? iknow that they do alot more than the A500.
but i never seen one up close only on an other site.

Most of you are in the USA.

I have the T100 - Well, have just sold it on EBAY.co.uk

Its a very nice phone but is older than the S100/S105 - It has less colours on the screen.

The t108 is the asian version of the t100, the t100 is the european version.

Goto www.samsung.co.uk and you`ll find information about the t100 there.

The t108 has built in answerphone and different menus.

I have the t100 but upgraded the firmware with the t108 software no problem. The t108 software
is slightly better than the the t100.

hey thanks cool96 the phone does look alittle different than the a-500 but what can it do that the a-500 can not? and is there any way that i can buy one and if so can i use it in the u.s.?
how much did you pay for the t-100 and the t-108? if you know or could find out about all this please let me know.

Hi,

Unfortunetely the Samsung T100 or T108 wont work in the US.

Its dual band only for European and Asian markets ythats why you cant but it in the USA.

since i can not buy that phone is there any way of upgrading the soft wear so the a500 would do more things? like down load animated screen savers or get more memory or better quality on the screen?
dont get me wrong i like the a500 but it can be better like the t100 and t108. they do alot more things.

I wouldn't even try and compare those two phones... I mean, one (the T100) is a GSM phone that will work pretty much anywhere but in the Americas while the other operates using an entirely different technology, CDMA, and can operate pretty much only in America (and a few other places such as say Korea and Israel). In any case, the T100 is basically an old phone. The latest Samsung GSM phone to have been released is the SGH-S300 which is a triband (world) phone and has all the features of the T100 and more (GPRS, JAVA, 40 Poly, MMS, inside AND outside color display, and more).

You most definately could not just upgrade the software. One's CDMA, the other is GSM... they're totally different on the inside. You couldn't even buy the T100 and make it work on Sprint because of two distinct things, i.e. a: the T100 is GSM and sprint is CDMA and b: it operates on "European" frequencies and not U.S. ones. This also means that you couldn't buy the S300 or S105/S100/S108 and use it with Sprint becuase those are GSM phones and again, sprint is CDMA. You could use them in America but you'd have to do it with T-Mobile or, in certain areas, with Cingular or AT&T Wireless (where they offer GSM service).
