a310 problem...vibrate in silent mode

My phone recently stopped vibrating in silent mode, and when I put it in normal vibrate mode (reduce ring volume until it says vibrate) it does a single continuous vibration with no breaks for the ring. I don't remember changing any options recently, and I know it used to at least vibrate in silent mode. Anyone else had these problems? I'm fairly certain I'll have to switch the phone out. The tech (who had no idea what he was doing) already said he would, but they didn't have any in stock so I'm waiting.

My A310 never did ring in silent mode. My vibrate is a continuous vibrate, except when the battery is about half way drained. I then get an intermittent vibrate like I've had with every other phone I've owned. Recently, I've seen it go back and forth in between charges. sometimes continuous, sometimes intermittent. I don't know if this is really a problem.

You mean your phone never vibrated in silent mode? That's strange (if that's what you meant). My phone has always vibrated in silent mode until a couple of days ago. That's the main reason I loved silent mode so much....1 touch switch between vibrate and full ringer volume. You might see about switching the phone out. Just go to the verizon store and claim that it used to vibrate in silent mode...but no longer does. This is what I did, and they offered to switch my phone no problem...only they were out of stock.

Yes, I did mean it never vibrated in silent mode. I got it from Radio Shack back in the beginning of Oct. shortly after they first came out. I got it from Radio Shack because they were priced at $99 there back then. I got one for my wife at that time as well. I swapped mine out three times within the first 15 days for various picky reasons. I really do like the phone. Neither my wife's, or the three I've had would vibrate in silent mode. I know this was of much discussion on this board when the A310's first came out. It's apparently been luck of the draw whether it vibrates in silent or not.
