Am I fighting a losing battle in putting the rubber "cover" back on after each charging session? I keep the phone in my pocket....any repercussions for lint, dust, etc. getting in through the bottom of the unit? Thanks. |

i just pulled mine out, its pointless to keep putting it back in after every charge, considering lint really won't cause any damage to the phone, only water will. pull that flimsy thing out for good!

I fought with my data port cover for about 2 weeks and finally threw the little thing back in the box (just in case I ever decide I need it again). I keep my phone clipped to my belt, and I haven't had any problems with debris getting in there. The phone I had before this one had a similar plug port on the bottom and it didn't even come with a cover, so I'm guessing that it's just a "nicety" that Samsung includes rather than a "necessity"... I could understand the usefulness if the A310 had a separate plug for power like the A460. But since you have to use the same port to charge your phone as you do to send data, taking that little cover off and on every time you need a charge is a pain... |
