FCC has recently approved what seems to be a new clamshell device from Verizon Wireless which runs Microsoft Mobile for Smartphones operating system. The SCH-I640 modification will lack camera and MMS capabilities. What we currently know is that the SCH-I645 will run the latest version of MS for Smartphones – 2003 Second Edition and will feature Microsoft Internet Explorer, Windows Media player and voice recording. Currently, the camera resolution is unknown. For more details click here!   |

From PhoneScoop.com  Documents made public today on the FCC web site offer a glimpse of the Samsung SCH-i640, a new Windows Mobile Smartphone for CDMA networks. The clamshell-style phone will run Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, and features dual color displays and a full-size SD card slot. The documents include multiple references to Verizon. One document refers to an i645 variant with a camera, although that version was not included in the hardware approved by the FCC. The i640 is the apparent successor to the SCH-i600, Samsung's first Windows Mobile Smartphone, which was released by Verizon in November 2003, and later by Sprint this past September.
