Default help! severe problems with S105!

Hello,

I just bought a Samsung S105 with T-Mobile and got it this Monday. Ever since I've had it I have had problems with calls breaking up (even with 6 bars signal strength!), and people say they call but are told my phone isn't in service, while my phone is showing perfectly good signal strength. Sometimes I can call without any problems at all (even with a signal strength of 0 bars). Has anyone else had this problem? The t-mobile rep told me to send it back for an exchange but I bought it from amazon and it's a major hassle! This is the last time I buy from them...they don't have any live customer service, it's all through e-mail.

Thnx,

Osman

Just call Customer Care at T-Mobile and tell them you need to do a handset exchange because your phone is breaking up phone calls with perfectly good signal. Don't tell them you got it from Amazon. They probably won't ask.

OK I will try that...last time I talked to them he told me I need to send it back to Amazon. I went to a local store and they also said I would have to send it back to Amazon. I will try calling customer care again. Also is there any way to get reimbursed for the minutes I spend talking to customer care? I spent 30 minutes on the phone with them last time!

Wow calling late at night is great.

Well he basically said that I should return it back to amazon. He said they can replace it under the 12 month warranty but then I would get a refurbished phone so the best thing to do is to send it back to them since I can get a new one. I sent amazon an e-mail earlier today so hopefully I will have a response from them and they can send me a new phone overnight...

keeping my fingers crossed.

Calling to Customer Care is free.

Hmmm, at this early stage, I wouldn't think they would have any refurbished ones.

better not to take a chance! And if there are other phones with the same problems as mine I am sure they have plenty of refurbished ones.

wow I'm amazed...I talked to the amazon.com customer service rep (had to do some internet searching to get the phone #) and they are sending me the phone via 2nd day air, and it will include the return label in the box so I can send my defective phone back! It was painless...I didn't have to complain or anything.

Cool, that's the exact same process T-Mobile uses.
