Default S105: sending text to email address

S105 seems to have problem sending text directly to email addresses. They told me to embed the email address in the messages body and then send it to 500. What is the deal? Even dull-looking nokia 8265 can do that!

Anybody knows a better way of doing this? Thanks.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Have you tried sending a text message to "500" and it didn't work? If it worked then what's the problem??

Default S105: sending text to email address

The problem is that you need to type in the email address every time you send an email. It is even worse if you need to send email to different persons. If you ever used Nokia with ATTicon, you know how that works: type the message, choose the recipient from the address book and send it off!

Samsung can save email addresses in the ph.book and it does allow you to choose the email address as the destination. but when you try to send it, it will err out with "invalid entry".

It does work with the "500" destination. In reality, that might be exactly how it works. but why can't T-Mobileicon hide this detail about how the messages are being routed, just take the email address and does the processing in the background?

That's just the way T-Mobileicon has always done it. It's not just specific to the S105, that's just the way they do it on all of their phones.

They have moved on to T-Zones now. If you log on to T-Zones, then you can send it like a normal email.
