    Default R225m questions

Can anyone help me with the following questions about the R225m?

1 - I see mention of an AT&Ticon Emergency Only problem but don't find any details as to
what the exact problem is. Can someone explain it in detail and let me know how I know
if my phone has the 'fix' or not.

2 - Is it possible to change the number of rings before the call goes to voicemail? Currently
the phone rings about 3 times and then immediately sends the call to voicemail. I'd like
to bump the number of rings to about 6. I have Voicestream and they claim that they can't
fix that on their end and it has to be done from the phone itself.

    Thanks.

1- The AT&Ticon emergency only message means you don't have a VoiceStream signal, but you are picking up an AT&Ticon tower. They [AT&Ticon] will allow a 911 call, but not a non-emergency call.

2- Try changing you 'personal options' in your voice mail. I know my phone rings several times before it bumps to voice mail (but I didn't set it up that way?)..

    Good Luck,
    kevin

To get rid of the "Emergency Only problem" you can select the network manually. Go into setting and select manual setting. It will take about 1 - 3 minutes to bring up a menu with T-Mobileicon selection. Select that and you will not have the "Emergency Only" message anymore. What you did is force your phone only accept T-Mobileicon network not anything else. If you don't have signal with T-Mobileicon in your area then you phone with not work period.
