We might have found the difference in A310s that vibrate in silent mode and those that don't. Please everyone post your phone specs here. My phone does NOT vibrate in silent mode and the number under the battery (next to the bar code) is 02.08.

My A310 vibrates in silent mode and it has the same code under the battery.

Which barcode are you talking about? There is one on the inside of the battery & 3 more barcodes on the A310 itself.

I set my vibration mode by holding the volume key down. Works just fine.

although my phone does not vib in silent mode, i just found out how to set the messages into silent mode, then i turn my key pad tones off and ringer to vib and its just like silent mode, yes granted its not as easy but it gets the job done

i ment turn my messages to vibrate, that way calls and messages are in vib ans key pad tones are off, (silent mode)

heh, went to verizon, tried a phone with the 02.09 and it still doesnt... oh well

the pnone isnt meant to vibrate in silent it is meant to be un noticable if you want it to vibrate put in on VIBRATE on the side push the up and down buttonss theyre in order silent, 1 beep, VIBRATE, level 1-5

that make no sense, how come when its in silent mode, new text messages and voice mail will make the phone vibrate, but calls will not... no logic there...

If you want Calls to vibrate and alerts to vibrate then do the following. Use the buttons on the side and set it to vibrate. Then go into the menu and go into Messages. Go to message volume and lower it to vibrate.. Now you have a phone that completely vibrates.
