In need of some advice (Verizon)...

I own and hate the LG TM510. Switched to Verizon from Sprint 6 months ago (had the 8500, which I loved). So I'm thinking of switching phones, and I was considering the T300. Questions:

(1) Is my confidence in Samsung warranted? How is the T300 for Verizon? My big gripe with the LG is sound quality - people are often unintelligible.
(2) All those T300's on ebay - does it matter that it's Qwest "converted" to Verizon? Is performance equal to an original Verizon T300?
(3) I want to stay in the ~$100 range (used). Is there a better choice that I'm overlooking?

The T300 is a great phone. It generally gets very high marks from Verizon users. CNET has a review of it and rates it very highly. But, its not the latest and greatest if that's an issue for you. However, it is a proven solid performer, well built, great voice quality and reception and has a superior package of features such as voice dialing, etc. Recently it was on sale on the verisonwireless.com site for $29.99. I bought two T300s. My son's has a clock on the display and mine has a screensaver. How can I get rid of the screensaver and have the clock? Any experts out there?

i had the t300, great phone. you will love it. as for changin backgrounds, press right to scroll through them when on the main menu

the clock is a different Screensaver. Scroll through your screensavers and pick the clock, in options.
