Default Called Verizon and Samsung today - so should you!


So I decided to Call Verizon today, and they did try and offer to help me, but unfortunately told me they will not be able too. They of course suggested I buy a "Get it Now" phone instead. This makes sense, because if they are going to push that service, why support other means of doing so.

So I called SamSung USA Tech Support (1-888-907-4357) and they were very helpful when I got connected to the Telecom Division. They took all my information such as my mobile telephone number, ESN, software version. They told me that Software is not supported at this time, but that one was in the works. I asked if they had a time a frame, and I was told that calls were coming in about this, so it might be gaining priority. Though he did not have a time frame for me. I asked if more calls came in, would it show more need, thus bringing it further attention, and he believed it would.

So, I ask you, if you own the SCH-A310 to call Samsung at the number above and made your case on how you want/need the Syncing software, and the ability to modify ringers, or you feel the need to return the phone. Calling Verizon won't help since they will just tell you to get a BREW phone if ringers are important.



The Tech from Samsung Called back, with some bad news. He did some further checking with someone in the company and tells me there are NOplans for PC link to be developed to support the SCH-A310. He didn't want to leave me in the lurch if I wanted to return the phone within my 15 day time period if it was a problem. I applaud their tech support for that, even if they couldn't help me.
So, If you would, please call Samsung and mention that this feature is important, and that you can't use their product if they don't support it.
I'll be posting a conversation in the BBS (http://bbs.kazimer.net) on this site to further keep track of what I find.

It's all about profit.....don't ever think these carriers have their consumers' interests as a top priority.
