I just dropped my trusty old 8500 and broke the LCD (the phone still works, but I can't see what I'm dialing or browse the menus). I have another old 8500 and want to transfer my ten million phone numbers from the old one to the new one... does Sprint do that? What's the easiest way...? (No I will NOT upgrade phones, I was one of the first people with an A500 and hate it, I'm waiting for the new Sanyo to come out). Thx. |

never heard of it, but i wish they did....i have 2 phones that i'd like to have been able to do that. i did the same thing to my LG TP1100 (smashed the LCD) it works still, but cant see anything.......and i couldnt use AIM on it, so it was pretty useless to me at that point..i borrowed my friend's TP1100, to borrow the display, but i wasnt able to do that either (couldnt figure which cord to yank out) i have my olllld nokia as well, which i had to copy them over manually....yikes! |

verizon does it with phones of the same model. ive seen them do it with two v120's took them only a few minutes. they don't (can't) do it with different model phones (ex: transfering your v60c phonebook to a LG vx 1) maybe sprint does the same thing. go into a store with a service center and just ask. or you can wait and ask someone else here like idioteqnology or sprinttecrep

Sorry about your phone. As far as I know there is no current solutions from Sprint. All I can say is you better start warming up your hands now cus you will be needing them for a long time!

Sprint will transfer numbers from one phone to another as long as they are the same phone. In the past on several occasion I have had a defective phone that they swapped for the identical model. They will transfer the phone book if you ask.

Sprint did that for me for my old StarTac. Not sure about any other brands though.

sprint can do it for all its phones provided they have the software loaded on their computers for your particular phone. The store must have technical support though
