the n400 is the phone that all us sales reps are getting. i took one home tonight to test drive it. so far my impressions: good speakerphone great blue lighting lightweight nice large screen; same quality as the sanyo4900 but slightly not as bright reception: (here it gets interesting) it consistently shows less signal than my sanyo 5150.......like in my house and basement it stays at zero or 1 bar while my 5150 is at 2-4 bars but the n400 makes calls fine with some breakup in my basement but nothing drops though. my 5150 will also breakup in my basement however. the 4700 and 4900 are perfect throughout my house. ill have to make more calls to really get back to you on this. battery life: i have no idea yet only had the phone for a few hours have barely used it. |

yep. we got them in nj sprint stores and a bunch of people have posted seeing them at best buys in CT and MD so i am sure they rae all around the country by now in small quantities. i need to figure out how to get into the field test screen on the n400 so i can really see RF strength on it.

idio, sounds like you have a ton of phones in your house he..he. If you find out how to check field strength, could you post here to let us know? I skipped out on 3G handset training because i heard it was not informative. So kinda learning stuff on my own. We dont have any N400s at our store yet.

for the n400 and a500 it is menu 0 1 0 then 040793 the 5150 is my old phone, the n400 is my new phone and the 4700 is my friends phone for the 5150 the debug menu is ##040793 then save # |

What do the different numbers on the debug menu indicate? I'm assuming the S 4*** indicates the home system ID, the number that hovers around -80 is the signal strength (higher number, less signal; in dB) what about the rest?
