A500 DATA CONNECTION PICTURE UPLOAD

okay, i know sprint has gotten these kits in stock....and mine is waiting back at home for me.....but so i know for sure....has anyone else recieved this kit and know if it is able to UPLOAD images and Ringtones thru the USB cable they provide. I am still unsure of whether the correct software is included. Please Reply and let me know, so i can base on whether i should keep this new Phone.

I just placed an order with the Sprint Accessory store for the Data Connection Kit with USB cable for $69.99 and the synchronization kit for $29.99. According to the salesperson the synchronization kit has the contact synchronization for Outlook and also the ability to download ringers and pictures.

However, I am skeptical that she knows what she is talking about. If anybody has received these kits yet please let us know. One of Sprint's biggest problem is not releasing the software kits with the phone. It is a pain not being able to transfer you phone book from one phone to another.

If I wasn't such a gadget freak I would never but a new phone when it is released for the lack of available accessories. I think Sprint could make a lot of money on accessories if they could get their s__t together.

The Sync kit should include futuredial software. According to their website they have the software for ringers/image uploads.

If the Sync kit includes that as well as the outlook sync utility I'll be buying it tomorrow. I received my data kit earlier this week.

I called sprint on Friday of last week (Aug 30) and they are not taking orders for the sync kit yet. This should be coming soon though. They told me to check back this week.

The PC Connection kit which comes with the cable and modem software is 69.99. The Sync kit is supposed to be 29.99 without a cable.

The rat bastards took my order. Who knows if it will ship though. One rep told me it wasn't available and then she asked her manager when it might be available and then she came back and said it was available and took my order. Go figure!

Sorry guys..I gotta ask this question(blonde moment ok?)just what does each kit do??? I'm guessing one for ringers and one for pics?? But how does it work?? Is it a wire or something connected to the CPU,or is it something else.Is it a wire or cord from CPU to phone?Do you really need both kits..i mean,can you just get one for now(RINGERS)or must you get both in order for it to work??

I imagine the sync kit lets you sync ringers, images and (dear God I hope) Outlook contacts... that'd be the coolest thing in the world if it could just do that. IMO. The data connection kit turns the phone into a wireless modem for your computer/lap top/PDA/whatever else you might have. I didn't even know sync kit was on sprint's website... must have a gander...
