You will see the Samsung A500 in July as wells as plenty of models, I think it will be a good month for Sprint. And as for Samsung phones, I like Samsung the really good phones, they might not be the best, but they are exceptional phones.

sprint has stated that the a500 and n400 will launch along with its 3g network in july 2002. so far no change in that schedule has been announced

The new a500 is BAD ___! I had the chance to mess with one last night. The screen clarity is incredible! It whips through the wireless web like everything is cached on the phone. Lots of great ringers, wallpapers and games too. The phone is small and solidly built… Not sure about the release date, Sprint is still beta testing the network and the 3G functionality is up and down. This phone is going to be worth the wait! The phone is Tri-mode AMP, CDMA, CDMA 1xRTT and dual band 800 and 1900MHZ...

Sprint doesn't give out free phones correct? What is their cheapest phone. I am going to purchase their plan and might pick up this phone instead of the 5150 if its worth it.

Has anyone seen the video of the SPH-A500??? I guess Samsung has the same phone called the SGH-T100 and they have a demonstration vidieo on it. It looks like a VERY nice phone. I would still like to know if it has a speakerphone.

Yes, I meant the SG-A500. The problem with teh Sprint phones is there are too many
of the same suffixes but with different pre-fixes. So when one says the A500, there
are at least 2 phones (That I know of with the A500 in them.

Well, anymore news abouth this phone (SPH-A500)? The release date is suppose to
be Aug 8. Its amazing how stupid the Sprint Employees play regarding this model.
I was fortunate enough to have one employee from one of the 5 stores i called
give me some info but it wasnt any more than I already knew. The remaining
4 stores just played dumb.

I just bought one at my local pcs store in Kansas City. It is an awesome phone. I cannot use the Sprint Vision features until Sunday afternoon when I change my plan. There is a whole new pricing for the plans and they look pretty competitive.

Just bought this phone. This is the slickes phone out there - bar none. But I did find a bug alreday. When you set the VOICE ACTIVATED Function for flip/talk and you flip open the phone, it responds with 'Please say a Command". But I've encountered many times alreday when it doesn't work. Either a huge bug or an isolated incident wiht the phone.

Bought the phone yesterday, truly impressive. 299 listed, 250 on sale at Best Buy and they gave a 100 Best Buy gift certificate.

Does anybody know when accessories will be released?

Does anybody know where I can get a comprehensive manual on how to operate specific functions?

The Sprint Owners Manual for this phone is really basic. Can you set different "environments" for the phone, i.e. different ringer/volume combinations? I am not sure how yet.

I have to take it out and look at my pretty fish screen saver about once every thirty minutes... lol I love technology !!!

where do u live ?
$250 and $100 gift certificate is a damn good price.
local bestbuy in my area sell this at $299 w/o gift certificate.
in some places,
this phone is being sold at premium like $300 something

the a500 being onyl for 250 and a 100 gift certificate was a glitch. Some places might not still know if it is a glitch but everywhere i called knows.

Yea, I'm kinda mad cause I got my A500 from Best Buy and I didn't get any sales or gift cards. I had to pay the $299 for my phone. It was kewl though, because I had just bought the LG1010 a week before that so I took that back and got my $121 back, so all in all I only had to fork out an additional $180. Not too bad.
