Samsung A310 Questions

Hello all. I recently found this board, and have found a plethora of usefull information. I still have a few questions about my phone (A310) that I can't seem to find on the board or in the manual, so I hope the knowledge base here can help me.

1.) I cannot find the setting to turn of the voice mail notification chime. Even when I put my cell phone on silent, the chime still rings out when a voice message is received.

2.) Occasionally when I am placing a call from the address book, I get the message 'Invalid number'. I can go back and do the same actions and the number will go through fine. Is this fault on my part, or the phones?

3.) If the data cable is purchased, can new games be downloaded for free, or do they cost?

Not sure if it matters, but my version information does say that I have the VL17 software. Thanks for your time everyone.

1) Hit the OK button, 8 for message setup, 6 for message volume. Adjust your volume from there.

2) The only time I've had this problem is if I accidentally hit send on someone who's speeddial is set for a number they don't have. For example, if the speedial setting is for their home number but the home slot is empty. If I select the right phone number it tends to work. One way to check is to long under your outgoing call logs and find out what the phone number was the phone tried to dial (Menu 1 1).

3) Nope. Can't download games to this phone via paying for them or not. The cable so far only lets you access the phone book, calendar and todo list, but you still need someone's software for that.
