Should I upgrade???

I have a samsung n400 and i am considering upgrading between the sanyo 8100 or samsung a500. I have read all the pros and cons on both and can't decide. I know I am upgrading, my phone gets very poor battery life (cant go a night without charging or it dies during the day.) The reception is sometimes great but sometimes roaming while driving. So it's not a question whether or not Im upgrading, just need advice on which to get. Both are around the same price. I like Samsungs, but I don't hear sanyos are half bad, if fact while lacking seemingly basic features (alarm clock) they have some pretty cool ones, such as call screening where you acctually hear the other person. I like the look and feel of both (especialy the blue and gold 8100) I just dont know. It is a toss up right now. So if anyone has had expirience with both, help me decide.
