I was looking at FutureDial's web site where you would need to go to get the drivers for the cable. They have this thing called SnapDialer. Do I need this to use my phone as a modem? How does this differ from the package Verizon sells? In other words, to use my phone as a modem with my laptop, do I need to buy this SnapDialer thing? If not, what software do I use to connect? Thanks to the informed mass in advance, Keith P. S. Also, when I call Verizon to get the Express Network added for no cost, what do I need to tell them? Is there an offer code or something? Thanks again. |

no you do not need the software. you can get a different software that will do the same thing at this yahoo group. there is a wlk through located in the files section. there are no ilegal files or programs here, but you'll find everything you need. if you need help setting up anything, just post it in the group, and someone will help you.

The A310 USB cable at RS made by FutureDial should work for the A530 and the $20 investment is really all you need to hookup the Samsung to the laptop. I downloaded the USB driver free from FutureDial (also on the yahoo groups' website / File Section - which also has a QLM Phonebook to help me manage & save/restore my phonebook entries (not sure if it will work for the A530). Over at howardforum.com, they have the links at several sites for the VZW Dialer - which will enable you to access Q2L at 14.4 or 1X (EN) at 144+. Got EN MOU feature added to my ACFS plan by calling VZW's Data Tech/Mobile Web Support - who patched me to CS - and now I am using my minutes allowance to surf on nights & weekends - it's real cool. I've managed to surf / download as far as 59k based on benchmark tests thus far. Anyone else crusing at a higher speed. |
