Verizon changed the map today. Question to Agnostic Front, VzwFriend and anyone else: Are you now getting digital in areas showing the expanded digital service on the map or?

Wow, it looks like they added a lot of coverage in Tennessee and Alabama. One of the places I was getting analog before was at my brothers house in Tennessee. I have family on the way there now, I will have to ask them how the coverage is. Where I am in the Flint/Detroit area I never drop into analog or extended network, I have solid coverage 100% of the time. My only concerns were parts of Tennessee and the upper peninsula of Michigan.

just random question here....

does anybody here actually made phone call while in analog and got through?? just curious...

cuz i was never NEVER be able to make or recieve phone call while i'm in analog

i live in nor. cal. bayarea.. so i never drop to analog..

and i think it wouldn't be bad if you are living in reasonably big cities(which i think most of you are)

i think it wouldn't be bad having digital only phone... since digi-only phone is not gonna bounce to analog for no reason....
just my thought....

I made calls in analog no problem in nor Cal. Up around Burney/Fall River Mills, Lassen Nat'l Park analog was all I got last summer and never once had a problem. I was using a v60i...don't know if that matters at all.

I drove from CapeCod to Detroit, MI with the a530 and I never dropped signal once....even while cutting through canada.

I have no complaints about reception or service.

Yeah, they don't have advanced technology like digital service in Canada or anything!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I make calls in analog all the time when I am in the upper peninsula of Michigan and also in areas of Tennessee with no problems.
