Anyone using CAR CHARGER for a530?? Check this out!...

I have received two car chargers from Samsung and both do the same thing. The red light goes on on the car charger, but there is no indication on the phone that it is charging. No red led on the phone and the battery icon does NOT blink. Samsung told me they tested this and this is the way it is supposed to work. The car charger is the same for the 310. I took off the battery and the car charger DOES supply power to the phone, but I don't understand why it will not indicate with the normal 'charging' indications.

Does anyone else have the car charger for this phone and can you please post if yours reacts the same way? If you can take a picture, that's even better... so I could show Samsung.

Got my car charger directly from Verizon wireless store. Charger seems to work fine. The red led lights up on the phone.

Yeah, the one I got from Verizon lights up red and blinks the battery.

I had a similar experience with my A310. I bought an inexpensive aftermarket car charger from wirelessgalaxy (good people, I recommend them), returned it for a replacement, only to have that one not work. Wirelessgalaxy responded that they had been seeing that problem with those $10 chargers, and recommended the Samsung (still only 19.95). The Samsung doesn't light up the phone, but the LED on the plug lights up when the phone is connected, and it charges the phone!
