My a530 just arrived 20 minutes ago and I haven't been able to to do much with it except activate it and change the wallpaper...But I thought I would post my first initial reactions. 1. Small. Having only seen it on the internet I wasn't sure how small it would really be, but it is small. This is a plus for me. 2. Sturdy build. It does have a very solid feel to it. It actually feels like it weighs more than it should look like...if that makes sense. It's not heavy by any means, but when you see the size you pick it up thinking it might actually be lighter than what it is. 3. Menus do appear to be a little sluggish. Again, I haven't really played with it much yet because I'm at work (no time to play with the phone but time to write this post? what's that about....) but the menus are a little slow. Don't know if this is actually just a sluggishness in registering key presses, or just a screen refresh issue...It's not annoyingly slow, but it is slower than my 4400. 4. The gold/silver color is good. I think the color is something people are either going to love or hate. I personally like it. 5. The buttons are small. No doubt about that. If you have any reservation about the button size, then you won't like them. They don't bother me though (again though- I haven't used it for any extended period of time yet). 6. Rubber cover on bottom of phone: There's a rubber cover on the bottom of the phone that covers up the port where a data cable would go or where you plug the charger in the phone. These things always annoy me. I wish they would build them so that they remain attached like the rubber for the headset port. It's always just a matter of time before it gets lost. Although with the type of charger included and the extra included battery, you could just swap batteries and drop the other in the charger. 7. Color/clarity of screen appears as goood as 4400...definitely better than 720. I guess that's about it right now...Not much I know, and nothing that hasn't really already been said, but at least it's another point of view. I will post a more in depth review comparing the phone to the 4400 and t720 after I've had a chance to use it more. |

The phone has been pretty solid for me as well. Just as good as the 4400 or even better in some respect. Excellent audio quality, solid RF and durable built quality. Looking to turn in the 4400 for the Audiovox 9500. Do you guys know where I can find one? I'm in So Cal. Thanks in advance.
