I knew it would start.. I work closely with a data team in the south region.. I was told today that is was set for release April 17th.. This is the same people that told me the release date for the vx4400, which I posted here and it was true, the A310.. They told me about when the user friendly testing started and ended for the 530, which I posted here, and the problem with the Jabra freespeak with the vx4400, which is a software related issue with the freespeak.. It is being worked on by Jabra, and there is no set timetable for that...I knew that I would be flamed for posting another "date" for the A530, but I felt this was reliable, and that is what message boards are for.. As far as Cellman.. There aren't enough misspelled words here..

You have very successfully added 2 and 2 together and gotten a beaver. You are so far off the mark you have left numbers all together and entered addition with mammals.

From what I understand is that the 530 will be launched in the Ohio market around april 17th and then in the Michigan market the first week of May. Im not too sure about any other markets.

    Default A530 In April

I went into my local Verizon Wirelessicon store (located at Madison Avenue & 43st. in New York, NY) yesterday and they told me that the A530 is scheduled to arrive in their store on April 15. This date seems reliable since "hiwayfuzz" posted a date of April 17. Let's hope that the A530 will actually be released on this date. I currently have the A310 and have been waiting quite a long time as have the rest of the members of this forum for the A530 to come out.

My biggest complaints with the A310 are: 1.) that the Ringer Volume is far too low 2.) the vibrating motor is too weak to feel when it is in your pocket 3.) the batteryicon life is way too short for a non-color screen phone 4.) Various gremlins in the phone (functions that do not work properly). I am hoping that the A530 has addressed these issues, if so, then I will be extremely satisfied - all the other bells and whistles will be icing on the cake!

I have heard from not so reliable source that a530 is going to be the first phone to be fully 3G. In other words, it will have 3G chip inside unlike other phones which are 2.5G but only says 3G. Now I don't know technology from the hole on the ground but is this guy right in saying that current phones are not fully 3G and that a530 will be? Does anyone know?

I wish the Moderator(s) would keep track of people posting release dates on phones, then delete their accounts when that date comes and there is no phone.

I have been watching this site for many months at this point and have also been waiting for the A530. I was about a day away from buying the T720, but I trust what hiwayfuzz has to say. He has been a member of this board for a while and has nothing to gain by posting a wrong date. I am confident enough to put my T720 purchase on hold for a few weeks to see if it comes out on the 17th (keep in mind I have been waiting since October to get this damn phone, just like so many other people).

    Default A530 In April

I have been checking out this post board as well as howard forums boards as well since about november. I have gone through all the cellmans, motomans, a530 people and all the false dates as well. I like blueteg was almost about to purchase a t720 in november, even had it on order, but then found out about the a530 and have been patiently waiting for it ever since. I have a corporate account with Verizonicon through my company and we have a Verizonicon representative that we are assigned to deal with. In February we contacted her and asked her about the a530 and she had no clue what we were talking about but then had it researched and she contacted us and told us that it was to be released in May. This bummed me out cause it just mean't more waiting. On friday the 21st we contacted her again and this time she told us that the phone would be released April 1st, this was the first time we had ever heard a proper response, she did not know for how much but would look into getting us a deal on it because we have a very large account. So this gives some hope to the April release date of this phone, I hope she is on the money but as I have learned about many things, they can alway be wrong so who knows it may be April 17th or even may. I am just happy to know that my representative gave me an actual date rather than the typical answer of around may or just simply, I don't know what that phone is. So here's hoping. Nothing is concrete just like release dates somtimes change for xbox, pc, dvd's or whatever.

I'm with you blueteg. I've been waiting for this phone ever since I've heard of it back in Nov. of 2002!!! (wow back in 2002)
I've gone through many of the "accurate" release dates posted by (ahem) many people but it all turned out to be false. But looking through this forum and others, I'm starting to believe that we are getting consistant reports from various sources. Finally the pieces of the puzzle are beginning to fit together.
