Samsung t809- USB?????

I've only had this phone for a couple days, but have had absolutely no luck in making a connection with my PC through the USB cable. I have an iPaq and am able to connect just fine through USB with that, so I'm pretty sure it's not a USB problem. I've read suggestions about switching the USB settings from Modem to Mass Storage and have done both with no luck. I've tried it with the memory card inserted and removed, still nothing. My computer does not recognize the device, nor does PC studio. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Also, it's rather irritating that the keys lock in such a short amount of time. I've looked for an option to stop the key from locking, but haven't found anything. If the phone is idle for even 15 seconds I have to unlock the keys, very annoying. Anyone know how to change this?

After spending about an hour on the phone with Samsung I got the problem fixed. I have USB ports on the side of the computer that work fine with all my other devices, but for some reason wasn't working with the T809. I switched the cable to the USB port in the rear of the tower and it connected immediately.

I still haven't figured out the key lock option, so if anyone has an answer for that let me know.

I found that if you go into your settings and change the usb connection to modem instead of mass storage, it will connect to the samsung destop software.

I have done everything on the samsung website and it doesnt work

I figured out how to do it. First change it to mass storage. Then Go to my computer and it should pop up as a removable disk. teh double click on music. The pull up ur musick files and drag and drop on 2 that.
