I'm new to the forums and have owned a verizon motorola v710 for about 2-3 weeks. Anyways, I need an mp3 splitter that can allow me to decrease the kb size of the mp3 file which would allow me to send the file in a message to store it into my phone. I'm not sure where this thread would belong so I'm aplogizing ahead of time. Thanks for any assistance guys.

You can use Music Match Jukebox (free version) to decrease the size. You can download it from musicmatch.com. Just open up Music Match and go File>Convert Files. Then on the left hand side browse to the folder where the mp3 is located and on the right hand side browse to the folder where you want the new file to be saved. Make sure the "Convert selected tracks to" drop box is on mp3 and not wav. After mp3 is selected, under that drop box is the kbps bar where you can change the kbps to make the file smaller.

http://www.funformobile.com/pages/help/helpHow.php is the best and easiest tool for making your own ringtones ( mp3, mmf, qcp, wave) from your cd tracks, mp3 collections, and free songs from WWW in my opinion. | |

mpTrim (www.mptrim.com) can trim the length of mp3s to something shorter to make ringtones.
