This thread is invaluable. Thanks to the OP for creating it. I've been looking for original Moto ringtones from an old V551 I had.

Thanks again.

There is a data cable made for it, but it seems silly to get it for just one ring tone. Although I would prolly do it. Other than that, a quiet room, your computer, a microphone, and record it to an mp3. Plenty of software to boost and tweak it after that. That's my current suggestion

I actually bought the cable years ago to manage the contacts, I still have it, but I don't know how to access anything other than contacts. It is a verizon model. If there is some software I can use to extract the midi files that would be ideal.
I bought this one from Verizon about 4 years ago.

That phone was before my tweaking time, but I will find out how to get it and get back to you. Don't dissappear on me.

No such luck. I do get communication when trying other models but of course it causes an error due to incompatibilities. When selecting 'Other CDMA' there are no options available.

Any other suggestions?

I'm not familair with that model Motorola phone, but you'll probably have to convert it to an mp3 first.

Hi there!!

Im new here and would so much like to add my two favourite ringtones - Digital Signal and Spooky (Alert File 107) to my new motorola phone that i recently purchased but haven't got a clue how to do this!!

I have selected the Digital Signal attachment below, which will play on my Windows media however when trying to add it through my USB port it will state error! I've even tried to see whether I could add it using my usb port to my samsung.

Hi

How do I go about getting the ringtone Spooky separately even though it was part of the Motor mixer? and how do I upload Digital Signal onto my phone? I currently have it in my library in my Windows Media Player and I also have a USB port but whenever I try to send the file through to my phone it comes up with error.

Please help!!

Arrow Re: The Motorola Stock Ringtone Thread

I'm not sure how to get Spooky without somehow installing MotoMixer on the phone. A standard USB cable will do you no good without the proper software. I highly recommend using BVRP's Mobile Phone Tools (From www.bvrp.com) Its very user friendly.

The best way to get a ringtone on the phone is to use Bluetooth though. If you get a Bluetooth dongle for your computer and send it to the phone as a file transfer the phone will usually accept it and file it in the ringtones directory for you.

I'd be careful of downloading torrents with ringtones in them. I tried it and the files were riddled with viruses. unless you are going to quarantine all torrents, and not open the downloads until they are scanned for viruses and spyware I would not do it.

My first post here in Wireless Advisor. Thanks for making this site available, and thanks for posting the ringtones. I downloaded the Classic.mp3 and will now load it on my phone. I have been looking all around for a plain & simple ringtone like this, so thanks again!
