I have a Samsung 950a phone, and I'm trying to figure out how to text message mp3 ringtones to myself. When I try to text an mp3 to myself through verizon, they convert the file to some awful compressed format that sounds terrible.

Anyone know how to text message mp3 ringtones to your phone?

I have a Blackberry pearl and have a similar question. I was trying to get the updated Cingular tune ring tone for free from the cingular/at&t web page and it was converted into some horrible format. Any ideas on how to get the enhanced version?

Funtonia seems to be able to do it -- but that discussion is going on (is sort of dead at the moment) on another thread.
