Just got a Sprint V3M. Iam dissappointed that it doesn't have the continental ringer as an option. I have tried to do the SEEM editing as posted in other threads. The phone now loads the seem and indicates that continental, classic, etc are enabled, but when trying to set ringers, they are not listed as options. Those annoying jingles that are loaded by sprint are all that are there. Anyone have any ideas? I have downloaded the continental ringer to my laptop. I tried e-mailing to my phone, but sprint pcs mail wont allow me to open the attachment. I'm out of ideas. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. |

Well, with that BB, you could try emailing it to yourself. I believe that you can only do OTA downloads for ringtones on the Pearl. My wife had one, and we used to just Bluetooth them to her phone, so that is the only way that I know of. You may want to try www.blackberryforums.com for further assistance.

Well, you can try using a USB cable, or purchasing an inexpensive Bluetooth dongle, and just using Bluetooth to send it over. I find that to be the easiest way. Your phone may have come with a USB cable, so that may be the cheaper route for you to go.

First post to these forums! Just wanted to give a heartfelt "THANKS" to Heavy Fluid for the Continental ringtone. Annoying how the cellphone co's seem to think a simple, audible tone that people are used to is out of fashion. I'll be checking back to see if you have any luck with Siren; it's the only alarm clock tone that can actually wake me up!

wow, thank you all! now i can use the tones (continantal & classic) on my blackberry 8800! (if you receive more than 20 calls per day a classical ringtone is the best you can get!) but the tones are very loud, arenīt they? i allready turned the ringtone-volume down on the lowest step but it still hurts in my ear. can somebody turn the tones a little more quite by a software or else? thank you. |

I used both the Continental.mp3 and Classic.mp3 found on this threat and when loaded to my W385 there is only 1 volume level... Any idea why or how to change that? I tried loading them as mp3 as well as mid files. Same thing.. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
