hi i want to buy faceplates and everone said to go with ebay
but when they mean go with ebay do i find a private seller or a company that sells or ebay store?
if it is a company what is the name if it
and which face plates have problem with reception?

I've bought faceplates from ebay, from daydeal.com and directly in stores. Really, it comes down to preference and price.

When I shop on Ebay, I find the style plate I want and then compare the seller's ratings...I never buy from anyone who has less than a 99% rating and even then, I look to the negative reviews to see what happened. Like they old adage, you can never have a happy customer all the time, which is why I allow for the 1%.

Then I look at price and compare prices and don't forget about the shipping/handling!! Some dealers try to get extra money from the S/H (they'll tack on a couple extra dollars sometimes), so determine this into the cost factor when comparing sellers.

When you find one that you feel comfortable with, bid away!!!

As far as reception, I've never heard of a faceplate that interrupts signal...this is a new one on me.

on the vx4400 oem faceplate,there are little gold strips to enhance reception...if the facesplate you buy doesn't have them, just peel them off and stick them on the new one

I would just go by the feedback. I almost never buy from anyone less than 98% feedback, unless the item is cheap. Also, check when the negative reports came in. If a seller with a 95% rating got all their negative feedback over 6 months ago with none since, that would make me feel better than someone with a 99% feedback rating, but with a bunch of negavtives in the past month.

The faceplates you get, as long as you are looking at cheap ones, are usually going to be the exact same whether you buy from eBay or a private company...they probably all come from the same factory in China. You'll usually just spend less at eBay.

If you have a phone with an internal antenna (Nokia 3395, 3595, etc...). Stay away from any metalic colored faceplates. There is metal in the paint they use which cause the signal to reflect off the faceplate, and not fully reach the antenna inside.
