For the Motorola V60t, you go to Settings->Ring/Vibrate->My Tones->[New Tone], and then you can enter the notes and a name for it. To enter tones that are just numbers, just enter the numbers in the order that they are displayed but don't enter any spaces. What is displayed will look different on your screen than what you entered. In my experience it can be a bit confusing/mind numbing, however, to do things this way, but it does work. For the ones that are letters/numbers, use the system in the post above.

Charging for ringtones is a rip off. I know that Coding Workshop is only $13, but you can't really tell me that $13 is worth it. For some ringtones. The Motorola V60c only holds 32. I am in no way cheap, but don't like to pay for things that others take advantage of to make money.

I am new to this whole ring tone thing and have had an old startac for years with no problem. Well I decided to upgrade to a V60c and noticed that you can input your own ringtones. I read the manual but have no clue what it meant as I d not understand music that well. So i started looking on the Internet for tones and found this. But to my amazement there arent that many out there like there is for Nokia. I would appreciate all you Motorola users out there with good ringtones post them here. Thanks for the space.

Nick

Nick I started this post so that those of us who don't understand how to create ringtones would get some help. Well it seems that like always everyone is just wanting to take but not give back. I know many of you have ringtones but dont want to take the time to put them here, but if you see one you want then you take the time to enter it into you phone. Good luck Nick, and all of you takers out there.

Just wanted to thank you all for the ring tones. Most of the ones I typed in were right on. I'd add some of my own but I have absolutely no ear for music.

If anyone has the Imperial March, it's be great if you could post it. My husband's looking for it for his V60

How to enter tones:
Menu >> Settings >> Ring Styles >> My Tones >> New Tone >> Change

Use keys 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 0

Key 1 = 1 - 2 - 3 (Press key three times to get "3")
Key 2 = A - B - C - 2
Key 3 = D - E - F - 3
Key 4 = G - R
Key 7 = # - b
Key 0 = q - h - w

Big Tymers - Still Fly

D#hA#qRA#wRqG#F#G#RD#RD#wRqD#hD#qRA#RA#wRhG#3C#qR2 BRA#wR "

OK, trying to put these ring tones into my new v60t, and it doesn't work! They didn't sound anything like the songs they are emulating, so I looked at that guide, and my v60 does different things from what's mapped out above for each button:

1 = 1 . : ;
2 = a b c 2
3 = d e f 3
4 = q 4
5 = 5
6 = 6
7 = r 7
8 = v + - 8
9 = ( ) @ 9
0 = 0 *# & 0

So no wonder the number codings don't look or sound like they are supposed to...anyone have a remedy?

What does the owners manual for your V60t say for entering ringtones. They may have changed it for the V60t.

I think that the V60t and V60c are different.

Before I bought my v60i I was at a coffee shop when some cell rang and it had like a retarted version of 007. Much like the one early on this forum. Sorry dude that wrote it ... you are probably more talented than me for I just fixed it, not composed it. So here is a better version, I think. Let me know what you guys think.

James Bond
2CqDDDhCqCCCD#D#D#hDqDDCDDDhCqCCCD#D#D#hDqC#C3C2Bw GqFGw

Notice the fact that after you choose a lenth, q h w, the next notes repeat the same duration. Also, you don't need to state the octave after you pick it, the only time that you need to state the octave again is if you need to change it.

I have a qhick question... Does anybody know how to make a note last longer than a whole note, ie w? I tried adding w's together, but it just gave it the value of one w.

Hey I was just wondering if anybody have a clue what kind of code is this? For what phone? or how to convert this code

Heaven- DJ Sammy
11333 11333 11333 11400 1140 11200 112000 11440 112 1127 11122200 1112220 11122200 11270 11200 11333000 11440 113330 11333 11333 11333 11400 1140 11200 112000 11440 114 113 114 1133000

for a v60i. Or if someone could just direct me to a tutorial on this code, so that v60i users can convert all the already available ringtones on the latter format rather than have to buy them of all those stupid people trying to make a profit of less educated users. I tried using that ringtone converter, listed a little above, but could not get it to work. It says that the format is not good or something. Thanks!!
