Default KRZR Battery Life

All of a sudden, it seems like the battery life on my Verizon KRZR is gone. I bought a new OEM battery off ebay and its lasting just a tad longer. I get maybe 15 minutes of talk time out of the thing. It seems to be working otherwise.

Any ideas ?

Dman,
I'd suggest contacting customer service for your cell phone provider. There was actually a recall on that battery, so if your CS considers the phone under warranty, or if the recall applies, they will replace it. There may just be a quality issue with the battery, though - I've had my battery replaced twice (through Verizon), and a few months later, my current battery (this is #3) stinks - about a day and a half standby, about 20-30 minutes talk time. Call your CS (or go into a store), and see what they can do for you.

An update: over the past few days, my battery (this is my 3rd) completely gave out - literally less than 5 minutes of talk time. I called VZW CS and they told me I'd have to buy a battery. I didn't like the sound of that, so I visited a VZW store. It turns out that this battery was also recalled, and the CS rep replaced it for free. The hint I learned - the sleeve for the recalled battery is white with black print. The current (non-recalled) battery has a black sleeve. I'd look at your battery. If it's white, send it back.

Thanks for the heads up on the recall. I've had the same problem, and turns out my battery has a white sleeve! However, my warranty has expired. Was yours expired as well? This problem makes me furious because it didn't present itself until after the 1 year warranty expired and its completely not my fault. No way am I paying $40+ for a new battery!
