Partial Loss of Use of Speakerphone
This one is a bit weird; I had a RAZR Vm. Bought it 3 days ago. The speakerphone, just like with my prior V3, worked by simply hitting the upper right key during both outgoing and incoming calls. Then after 2 days of use, all of a sudden I couldn't get the speakerphone to work on incoming calls; instead the phone insisted on going into "muting" when the upper right key was used! The speakerphone would enable on outgoing calls. When I took the phone back to where I'd bought it, the AT&T people there tried to insist that I had to hit "options" during calls and then scroll to "speakerphone" to enable. When I insisted that it worked fine using the upper right button, they went over to a display model on the wall and tried it. It worked EXACTLY as my phone had. Then they tried several other V3's in stock, and they all would NOT allow the speakerphone to be enabled the way the display, and my own phone, had worked.
I finally had to re-buy another phone, a RAZR V9. The speakerphone on this one can be enabled by use of the top right key during incoming and ougoing calls. At least it does as of this writing.
Both user manuals for these phones state "Speakerphone: "activate the speakerphone during a call" "press the SPEAKER key (if available) or OPTIONS>SPEAKERPHONE ON
Apparently this can be available for some phones, but not for others. My first phone LOST this availability partially, and we couldn't figure out how to restore it!
Can anyone provide any help with this?
