Default Alltel V3c Replacement

I shattered the glass on the cover of my V3c - so I need a new phone. I love the V3c - I use Motorola Phone Tools to connect to high speed internet when travelling when needed.

The current Razr at Alltel are all V3a - no EVDO connection.

Any recommendations on a replacement phone?
I use it as:
A.) a phone
B.) a quick and dirty camera
C.) internet connection to my laptop when needed when travelling.
( I don't text, listen to music . . . )

( I want another V3c . . . )

Default Re: Alltel V3c Replacement

Well it turns out that I actually had a V3M - - but I purchased a V3C from Ebay - got it, its activated, transferred all my contacts from my old phone usine Motorola Phone Tools.

BUT I cannot get an internet connection using MPT -

The phone shows dialing unknown number - I've gotten as far as verifying username and password but it always fails.

This worked fiine with my older ( 16 months ) V3M - do I need to get a V3M instead of the V3C? Or has the firmware been changed to disable this feature?

I really don't want to pay $25 per month for the occassional internet access - I could even live with just 1XRTT (? ) , although EVDO was really nice off the old phone.

Any Help?

I could not access Axcess either - so

I finally called Alltel (should have done that sooner ) apparently there was a block on my account for high speed data access

They reset that, now I am good to go!
