Unhappy Razr Not charging

I tried a search and all though I couldn't find it I'm all too sure this has been posted and answered already so I apologize ahead of time..

I just recently got what I assume to be a RAZR 3? I don't know if they look different but it looks exactly like the pictures of one. My battery died and I plugged it into a wall just long enough to make a call. Then I looked at my phone and it wasn't charging. I've tried everything I could think of including removing and reinserting battery, trying to turn it on (on and off the charger), and anything else that seemed helpful. When I plug it into the wall, nothing happens. It usually told me if the battery was too dead to come on it would say battery charging.

Now, I'm not even getting that sign and it's not charging. I know the charger's good as i just tried it with a different phone. Please any help is appreciated.

There could be several things wrong with the phone, but the first thing I should ask is this: Is the phone still under warranty (purchased less than a year ago)? If so call your carrier and get a warranty replacement. If you are out of warranty you can try shimming the battery. Take a business card and cut it to the exact size of the side of the battery opposite of the electrical connections. Scotch tape it to the side (opposite the electrical connections). Reinsert the battery. If you still have problems you may have a bad battery, or a bad phone.

I tried that with no luck. The moisture indicator is red, though. I didn't know it existed before. A friend tells me his was water damaged and he dried it out. He said it worked fine until his battery died and since then it does nothing. I'm thinking maybe if I charge the battery in someone else's phone then put it back into mine I may be able to use it and charge it normally. The friend's was taking a charge until it died. I'm new to RAZRs so if anyone has been in a similar situation or heard of one, does this seem like it may work or is it just too wishful of thinking?

If the phone is water damaged then there is probably nothing that can be done for it. You're lucky it lasted as long as it did. Phones do not like water. Even if the phone is dried out sediments and minerals can be left on the circuits and slowly burn the phone out, even after it is dry.

I have heard that the dot will turn red from just the moisture from keep a phone in your pocket while you sweat .It turns real easy. I would see if you can borrow a battery from someone that you know works and see if it works in your phone if it works its your battery that is shorting.

Agreed, that's a possibility, one of my Razrs had no water damage but the white sticker did turned red from moisture, a new battery did the trick, might work for you as well.
