Razor V3m in analog?

My husband and I are new verizon customers, in fact still under the 30 day guarntee deal. Trouble is we live in an analog area, and have to go to town to get digital. I looked through the phone and it's set to analog off, can anyone tell me what I need to do to turn the analog on??

I've mentioned it to the verizon customer people, and all they will say is there is fixing to be no analog, but in the meantime I need to know I'll have service kwim? We at least had service with Alltel here.

I just checked the phone's specs and I'm sorry to report that the phone is not capable of operating in analog mode - it is not a feature of the chipset used in the phones. Although you may see it as a feature in the menu, it is not a feature of the chipset in the phone. Even if it was available the analog network has already been largely deactivated in many parts of the country.

well I wonder if they will allow us to exchange phones then? we really need the analog in this area. I understand that it's being phased out, but do wonder what those of us will do when they phase it out that are in the analog areas? Will we just loose service all together? We live in a pretty remote area.

I'm not sure Verizon offers any analog phones anymore. You may have to look into options like external antennas, amplifiers, and repeaters.

k dumn q where could I find stuff like that? And woudl they work in an analog area? I mean I knwo we are a good 30 or so miles away from a digital area.
