V3M LCD Screen/Camera Problems

I'm having some trouble with my V3M from Alltel. Several months ago my main LCD screen started getting very bright when I turned it on. By flipping the phone open and closed a couple of times the problem would go away. Now the screen is almost always very bright. The only way to have a normal display is to almost completely close the phone. At the same time this happened the camera quit functioning as well. If I try to take a picture, an error message came up saying "picture capture failed." I don't hardly ever take pictures so this isn't a big deal for me, but when the LCD screen is normal, the camera functions fine as well, so I know the two issues are related. Lately the outer LCD has been acting up as well, but instead of being too bright, it is too dark and hard to read. Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong here? My phone is out of warranty and I am under contract until December. Thanks for any ideas you may have.
