I purchased an unlocked RAZR V3R, SW version: R4515_G_08.BD.B3R - from ebay. Advertised as NEW, NEVER OPENED, was used, obviously T-Mobile. We have changed the MMS, Cingular settings, but do have a Media Net connection on the menu (Web Access is all), therefore no internet connection working. How do we get what we need to make the Cingular specific menu work? Any help would be appreciated, the seller is a real jerk. Thanks! |

I have figured out that it is a flex file to get the Media Net for Cingular/ATT. Everything I read sounds really complicated to fix this. Again, thanks for any help!

For anyone with this problem, I took the phone to an ATT representative. He said if the inside of the phone has a blue sticker (which this one did) it was made for European market and probably cannot be flashed to get the MEDIA NET or browser working. He tried everything he could to no avail - Motorola does not have ATT listed on web to flash phone and send settings, so one would have to send to service center. My saving grace was that I have worked on several issues over the years with this person and he does work on the side. It cost me $20 to let him replace the circuit board with an ATT one - but at least it will be fully functional now. If you are buying from EBAY, my advise is to ask the seller to send a picture of the inside behind the battery, so you can tell where it was from. My problem is solved - but be careful - it cost me $20 more to get my phone to do anything more than just call and text - without browser you can't even download ringtones, etc. |
