I'm assuming you mean the Razr 2 ( ie v9m). If so yes I do own one myself and it's a great phone. Then again it all depends what you use the phone for. So to ask if it is worth it or not is a tough call. I personally like the bigger screen, the thinner profile is great and the look is nice IMO. Battery life could be better but what can you expect from a phone under a 1/2 inch thick. One thing I will say is at least they got rid of the awful red bars in there UI. It still has the VZW UI but the red no longer exists. Personally tho I won't be worrying about that to much longer because I plan on flashing it to the leaked USCC firmware to get the Moto UI back like I had on my previous Moto phones. Anything in specific you want to know post back and I'll try to answer it. Peace

FYI the T-mobile version is the v8 with the new Linux OS ( ie firmware) and if memory serves me it runs on the old ( ie slower) network for web surfing. That is why it has the Linux OS and the newer model don't ( ie the v9 or v9m's). They haven't worked the bugs out of the Linux firmware to work on the 3G networks yet.

The V9 or the V9m is not really a newer model of V8. Motorola came out with all three almost simultaneously although the different providers launched them at different times. Even though the V8 is EDGE & not 3G (which only impacts data anyway) the "new & improved" Linus OS on the V8 is actually newer and is much better than the OS on the V9 series in handling processes. It includes a notepad & a file manager, etc. and enables you to add/remove/rename folders, change system icons, etc.

The V8 also has a 2GB memory as opposed to the 45 MB in the V9.

Being Linux based there will probably be native Linux apps written for it in the coming months.

After seeing the V8 in action, the V9’s appear to be old technology to me.

Just my 2 cents, as you can tell I like the V8 & prefer it over the V9.
