Default Problems With Sending Message

Ok, I have some ringtones I made with MPT, and have them on my phone. I am trying to send them to another phone, but when I do, I get the message "sending of this file format is prohibited in Restricted Mode". I can send pics in messages, and I can also attach ringtones that came on the phone. Any ideas?? don't think it's a carrier problem, they said no restrictions on my messaging, so I have no idea....

What carrier are you with? What carrier are you trying to send the tone to? What file type is the tone you are trying to send? There are size limits of files that can be sent depending on the carrier. It could be a lot of things. The more details you give the better someone will be able to assist in the problem. Peace

That being the case I can't say then and I don't want to point you in the wrong direction. I have no clue what the deal is with GSM service which is what AT&T uses. It does seem kind of odd tho do to the fact that I have personally sent ring tones to a buddy who has a v3 from AT&T and being I'm on VZW it was no trouble. Furthermore by the size and type of file you said it was it should work. Hopefully someone with AT&T will chime in and spill the beans on what's up. Sorry I couldn't be of any help for ya tho.

thanks for trying to help. I find it really odd that I can attach a picture with no problems, and can send the original ringtones that came on the phone with no problems....

If both phones are bluetooth capable you can also transfer them that way.

They are both RAZR V3 phones. I have the special edition Dolce & Gabbana RAZR, but the other one is just a plain black RAZR
