Provider: Verizon Phone: V3M Razr Software: Verizon Music Essentials Kit (useless, doesn't even install due to my having wmp11, doesn't even work with wmp10, I get these same issues which is why I upgraded wmp to begin with) Upgrades: 1 GB Sandisc Transflash (also useless considering this whole process isn't working. I've dumped 110$ extra into my phone to make it perform as a 1gb audio player that for what ever reason refuses to get recognized with the proper driver, who on earth would release such a broken driver for a peice of hardware that just never ___king works?) -------------------- I've installed "MTPfix" I've installed "Driver tools" I've installed Verizon Music Essentials. I've installed motorola this and motorola that. Nothing seems to work. Nothing at all. Sometimes my phone is recognized as a Motorla USB Modem, which, then goes through and then the phone disappears from device manager altogether. When trying to sync my phone before connecting it to the PC, my phone is recognized as an MTP Device, sometimes this driver even stays, but, the driver is useless as it doesn't sync with the PC. Other times, the majority of the time, the phone is just recognized as a Motorla v3c with a question mark in device manager which indicates that the driver is wrong for the phone. Why can't I just download a V3M driver, plug the phone in, when it pops up asking for the driver I direct it to the v3m driver saved on my computer and end this ___king mess? Is there any way to do that? I'm not computer illiterate. I run linux, mac osx, vista, and windows xp all on the same PC; yes, PC. Mac OSX on a PC. I have three computers, np. I've dealt with broken drivers in linux and fixed them, np. I can't seem to fix this phone. What the hell is wrong with it? ------------------------------------------------------------- I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO ONE THING: Put music onto my phone. ------------------------------------------------------------- I don't care to add stylish ring tones or wallpapers or backgrounds or get images off of my phone and onto my PC. I only want to put music onto the transflash card of my phone and to use it. If the drivers will just absolutely positively not work in any god given way, then tell me what format I will have to use for my WMA and bitrate quality (yes i'm literate in such things as audio conversion and so on) -- and I'll convert my audio and buy an SD card reader. Fact of the matter is, I only set aside this hard drive for windows XP so that I could put audio on my phone via this installation of windows. It isn't working. ----------------------------------------------------- |

First off it makes no difference if the phone is seen as a v3c or a v3m, they are the same thing and work off the same drivers. The only difference in the phone is the TF card slot and that has nothing to do with drivers. What version of the firmware do you have one your phone currently? Where did you get the drivers you have tried to use. Here is a link to the most recent drivers directly from Moto's site http://www.hacktherazr.com/originals..._32_v2.9.0.zip just unzip the file then run the installer. After running the installer go to the start bar and find the new Moto program that should be listed. The first thing to do is have your phone unplugged while doing this. Go ahead and run the clean portion of the software. After that run the clean 7 install. Once it finishes plug the phone in and it should want to set it up, when you get the pop up box to add new hardware just click next, do not point it anywhere let is search your comp. when it finishes check device manager to see if it found the phone and it's listed under modems as a Moto USB modem. If so now you are good to go and use MPT, BitPim, QPST, or Radiocomm. Next thing you should do is go directly to VZW site and find the WMP fix download. grab that file once you have it reboot your comp and have your phone unplugged, once it is back up install the file you just got. When it finishes plug the phone it should be shown as the Moto USB modem again, if so now try to sync your phone with WMP. If you run int omore trouble here is another link to look over. He has all kinds of details and info on VZW Moto phones. Hope this helps you out. Peace RAZR, V3C, V3M, E815 Motorola/LG Mobile Phone Help Pages by Mark Venture - 1 USBDriver |
