razr connection problem

ok, i have MPT, and updated it to the best update. I have a cingular phone which is broken, and i wanted some pics and vids off it. The only thing that's wrong is that the screen doesnt turn on when i open my phone (I can make calls, and send texts, i just cant see the screen). I recently purchaced a krzr and MPT works fine w it (I put on mp3s and pics w os problems). When I first installed my razr profile everything was going fine, i transferred about 10 pice and one ringtone to my phone, and then, suddenly, it said that MPT lost connection w device. I turned my phone off, restarted my comp,and now it wont work at all except to charge. all it says is "initalizing." I may be being impatient, but after about 10 mins i just shut it off. I tried my krzr just after that and successfully transferred some pics to it w/o ne problems.

It sounds as though there is more wrong with your RAZR than just the screen. I had that issue with my v620 a while ago and I think the pin connector on my data cable was damaged. Obviously, the USB cable you're using works (or the Bluetooth connection) so it may be the mini USB/charging port on your RAZR is damaged.
