Default Blank display on RAZR V3 GSM

Well to make a long story short I put my phone in my pants after I went swimming and when I used it a few hours later, the display went off when I was in the middle of texting someone. I'm pretty sure something shorted out.

The white dot behind the battery and the one below the 2 T6 screws are still white and the phone still functions perfectly(receives calls, can change audio mode, etc) but the screen is totally blank. Only a minimal amount of water got into the phone.

Is it possible to buy a new lcd screen and replace the one on my phone to get it to work?

Or is the problem with something else, like a cable or the camera?

My warranty is gone and I found a deal on ebay for a new screen for 20 dollars.

Should I buy it or is the problem too severe to be fixed?

the best thing for you to do mate is look for a service center for your unit..i think the first step is to have it clean from the inside and look for the posible short or grounded of the fone...
you can do buy the lcd if cleaning dosnt work....that might be your last option.....

goodluck.......

i dont know how much it would cost there in your place....but im sure its quite cheaper than to change the lcd......regarding the warranty,,,in every repair center there is a corresponding warranty for the service they owed....i just dont know ho long should it be???
