Motorola phone tools USED to work with my V3, but no longer...

I used to be able to happily use Motorola Phone Tools with my V3 razr. Everything worked perfectly. But this morning I decided that I wanted to transfer all of the pictures from my phone to my computer. I went into the file transfer thing, highlighted every picture, and had them copied over to my computer. It got through about 20 of the pictures fine, but then an error popped up saying something like "Data transfer halted by phone." Nothing would work after that. I couldn't get MPT to redetect the phone. I tried reinstalling the USB Modem drivers, restarting my computer many times, but nothing worked. How can I get it to work again? Thanks.

The funny thing is that I can get it to work with a program like p2ktools. I was able to transfer all the pictures off with that. I just can't get it to work with motorola phone tools. Er, and one other thing is that I can't transfer files TO my phone with p2ktools, only from.

Oh - and when I go to Control Panel > Phone and Modem Options > Modems, next to Motorola USB Modem right now it says "Not Present." Other times it has said COM2 or COM4 or something, but when I go to properties, then diagnostic, and try to query it, it says that it failed to respond. I've tried removing the Motorola USB modem device with the device manager and having it reinstall several times, I've reinstalled the drivers...
