Default Sprint Razr V3M drains battery very quickly

I have a sprint razr v3m that whenever I take it off the charger it begins to lose its charge quite quickly. I got a new battery thinking that was the problem and it still continues, so I think it's a problem with the phone's settings.

Also, i think it might be that I hit th side buttons while it's in my pocket, could that be the problem?

Thanks.

Sure if the lights are staying on a long time. However, did you check the charger, does the phone indicate its fully charged when you take it off the charger. If the charger is OK and the battery is new, check other things like the light (screen) display time etc. Are you in warranty? If so
ask for a swap.

You might want to call Motorola. I'm having the same issue and since my phone is still under warranty, I called Motorola earlier this week. It was surprising how quickly they offered me a new battery or portable deep charger free of charge. The rep. said that they have had "several" complaints and that made me wonder just how many people are "several". So I hit the blogs and found your post. Anyway after some troubleshooting it looks like the problem with my phone isn't the battery or the charger but the actual phone, so it is really worth your time to check into more. I'm going to pay Sprint the $15 to get my phone examined. If it needs to be replaced it's worth finding out now while the phone is still under warranty. Good luck. I hope our phones keep working through our service contracts.
