I just wanted to know if anyone has played with or modded one of these yet. They were supposed to have OBEX and PPO profiles but I believe according to the information Moto had.. That verizon did disable the software. However, if that was the case the phone had it on there to begin with! So it would only need to be re-enabled.. I intend to get this phone and I just wanted to know if anyone has tinkered with it. Please reply promptly UPDATE: They did keep Object push on the phone! but it's set to only allow user generated images and video and ringtones. That would be easy to fix with a seem edit. Wouldn't it? |

| VZW website specs show EVDO only for this phone. Does that mean if you're outside an EVDO area you have no web access?

| This phone is also 1X capable, so as long as you are in an area where you have the 1X displayed on the phone you will be able to use Verizon's mobile web access. I keep my EVDO turned off on my enV 9900 most of the time to conserve the battery life and I'm still able to use the mobile web.

Thanks, Ellen. I couldn't see how it could be otherwise, but with Verizon, you never know. |
